    Getting Started Installing the Diagnostic Tool Getting Started Getting Started CAUTION: Always turn the ignition switch OFF before connecting or disconnecting the Diagnostic Tool. Locate your vehicle’s diagnostic port. Depending upon the model of the vehicle, this port is normally located under the dashboard or near the center console. The above illustration notes the five possible locations of the diagnostic port.

  • Page 20 To aid in reporting any potential issues with app performance or results (e.g. actuation tests, data streams), use Diagnostic Feedback to send details to iLAND support. Press Confirm on the prompt, then select the vehicle log related to your issue.
  • Page 21 Adding a description of the issue is optional, but important in working towards a resolution. If possible, please include:  Vehicle model and year  Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)  Detailed description of the issue Press Submit Result to send the information to iLAND support.

Enter your old password in the designated field, then enter your new password in the designated fields and press OK to submit. You will receive a prompt if the password change is successful.

CAUTION: Keep the Diagnostic Tool plugged into the vehicle and powered on throughout the firmware restoration process. If support determines it necessary, this option can be used to restore the current firmware version to your Diagnostic Tool.

    Using the iLAND App App Software Updates When your device is online, the iLAND app will automatically check for software updates for the model(s) you have selected. If a software update is available, you will be prompted by the app to download and install it. Follow the prompts to complete this process and ensure your device maintains an internet connection throughout.

    Using the iLAND App Closing the App When you exit an app on your mobile device, it usually continues to run on standby in the background. To completely close the app on your device, perform the following steps: 1. View all the running apps on your device. How you do this depends on your device and the Android version it is running.

    Using the iLAND App Software Subscriptions The iLAND diagnostic kit includes access to diagnostics and software updates for one Land Rover model for three years from point of activation. This allows access to wireless diagnostics, component configuration, and the latest app software updates as they become available.
  • Page 31 Using the iLAND App Purchasing a new subscription To purchase a new subscription, press Reports and Settings > Update Entitlement > Subscription Information. Press Purchase next to the model you wish to purchase, then follow the instructions.

    Using the iLAND App Starting Diagnostics Once the iLAND app and Diagnostic Tool are activated, you may begin diagnosing vehicles under your current model activation(s). NOTE: Bluetooth® must be enabled on your device in order for it to communicate with the Diagnostic Tool.
