OVERVIEW

Included with the MSO-MICTOR cable shipment are the following:
Qty 1 - 36 channel Mictor cable
Qty 1 – MSO-MICTOR Instruction sheet (this document)
Qty 1 - Mictor Connector Shroud.
Note: Additional shrouds can be purchased in a 3 pack. The LeCroy part number is MSO-MICTOR-
SHROUD.

Before using the MSO-MICTOR cable, ensure that its operating environment will be maintained within
these parameters:

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

CAUTION
To avoid personal injury or damage to the MSO-MICTOR or any equipment connected to it, review and
comply with the following safety precautions.
Use only as intended. The MSO-MICTOR cable is intended to be used only with LeCroy MS-250,
MS-500 or MS-500-36 Mixed Signal Oscilloscope options. Use of the MSO-MICTOR and/or the
equipment it is connected to in a manner other than specified may impair the protection mechanisms.
Connect and disconnect properly. Avoid damage to cables thru excessive bending. When
disconnecting the MSO-MICTOR cable from the MS-250, MS-500, MS-500-36 or Device Under Test
NEVER pull on the blue wires, pull only the black plastic housing.
For indoor use only. The MSO-MICTOR cable and associated test equipment is intended for indoor
use and should be operated in a clean, dry, environment.

BASIC OPERATION

Connecting the MSO-MICTOR to the MS-500 or MS-500-36

Connect the end of the cable labeled D0 – D17 to the corresponding input of the MS-500 or MS-
500-36 labeled D0 – D17 and fasten thumb screws
Connect the end of the cable labeled D18 – D35 to the corresponding input of the MS-500 or MS-
500-36 labeled D18 – D35 and fasten thumb screws

Connecting the MSO-MICTOR to the Device Under Test

The MSO-MICTOR cable mates with the Tyco Electronics Pb free part# 2-5767004-2 Mictor
connector.
