Instructions for use
NOTE: The Helix tube should not be used for more than 250 tests.
1. Check the device for visible damage and ensure that the device is dry. Also ensure that the device is not warm.
2. Open the tube by removing the capsule from the device.
3. Remove a strip from the sheet. Fold the indicator strip in half and ensure that the indicator faces inwards.
4. Place the strip into the capsule of the device. The folded side should be inside the chamber of the capsule and the open end
faces to the open end of the capsule.
5. Ensure that the indicator does not move from the capsule.
6. Close the device.
7. Run a sterilization cycle as indicated on the helix test strip.
8. At the end of the sterilization cycle, remove the device from the autoclave. Be careful, the device may be hot.
9. Open the capsule from the device and remove the indicator. Check the indicator. The test is positive if the chemical indicator
changes to the right color (red / pink –> green).
10. The indicator strip has a self adhesive backing and can be applied to the sterilization records.
