- Page 3 MIC RM-8 | Ribbon Microphone The RSM-1 is a ribbon microphone (2.8 micron thick) with a high degree of linearity and an excellent impulse response. This microphone is especially suitable for recording drum overheads or other instruments with high SPL (up to 148 dB) and large dynamic range such as pianos and acoustic instruments.
