- Page 7 Carefully clamp the top eye without causing damage. Do not clamp the piston shaft! Disassemble Top Eye • 1. Turn jam nut counter clockwise to loose. • 2. Remove Top eye from piston shaft. • 3. Remove jam nut from piston shaft. Push rod / tube can be removed too. All disassempled parts have to be assigned to the damper they belong to.
