    Preparations for assembly The MHS400 system must always be installed by an experienced and qualified window specialist, in accordance with the installation and planning documents issued by SIEGENIA. If you have any questions about installation, please contact the head of the relevant department at SIEGENIA or your window specialist.

    You must assemble the MHS400 system first before putting it into operation. • When operating the MHS400 system for the first time, you must carry out a reference run as well as a calibration and teach- in run which determines the traverse path and the traverse forces of the lift & slide sash automatically (see operating instruc- tions).

  • Page 18 Requirements to be met by the hardware • In order for the MHS400 system to function properly, a compatible lift & slide fitting for opening scheme A or C with 10 mm square striker packer must be installed in the gear (e.g. HS-PORTAL 200, HS-PORTAL 300 or HS-PORTAL 400).

    Option A — Surface-mounted fitting of mains cable The MHS400 system is delivered as standard with a 5 m long mains cable for scheme A and a 3.5 - 5 m long mains cable for scheme C (depending on the width of the element). The cable outlet for scheme A is always at the top of the slide drive SA on the locking side (Fig.

    Checking the functionality of the lift & slide element manually with the MHS400 system installed So that friction and resistance can be identified during manual operation of the lift & slide sash, the MHS400 system should be decoupled from the sash. To do this, simply release the catch on the slide drive SA from the catch base on the lift & slide sash and pull out the plug of the connection cable for the lift drive HA in the slide drive SA.
