    OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS COOKING RICE Many varieties of rice can be used, including basmati, wild, black rice, arborio, risotto, saffron rice, brown, and long grain. Do not use this Rice Cooker to cook instant rice. A 180 ml ( ⁄ cup) Rice Measuring Cup is included with your Rice Cooker.

This refining process causes the loss of its hull, bran and germ, which are removed from the grain (along with most of its nutrients) leaving only the starchy endosperm.
