Page 3 Installation #1 Gain Selection The 1st step is to select the proper gain. If you’re using an active preamp (tube or solid state), or have very efficient loudspeakers (> 94dB), use the default setting as shipped from the factory (26dB). When using with passive devices such as PLC1, PC4, CD or music player with built-in volume control, use the 32dB selection.
