    Battery Installation for the Remote Control Press down on the compartment cover, and slide the cover off to open the compartment. Place the battery (CR2032) into the battery compartment according to the polarity marking, with the “+” sign facing up. Place the cover over the compartment, press down lightly, and push it upward until it snaps on.

    Connections Speaker Connections Connect the speaker cables at the back of the speakers to the speaker sockets (L/R) at the rear side of the unit. Connecting to the Mains Socket Connect the mains cable at the rear of the main unit to the mains socket. To the Mains Socket For Personal Listening Connect earphones (Ø3.5mm stereo mini plug) to the earphone socket.

    Basic Operation Powering ON/OFF When you first connect the unit to the mains socket the unit will enter Standby mode. • Press the STANDBY button on the unit or on the remote control to switch the unit on. • Press the STANDBY button to switch the unit back to Standby mode.

    Preset EQ (remote control only) Repeatedly press the EQ button on the remote to select different preset EQ mode. The display will show in sequence on every press: When the display shows your desired EQ mode, stop pressing the button and the associated icon will be displayed.

    Radio Operation When the unit is first switched on from standby, it will automatically enter Radio FM mode. You should fully extend the FM lead wire aerial located at the back of the unit and adjust its position and direction until you find the best reception. The display will show FM and the frequency.

You may also program a particular track to play several times within a programmed sequence. Load your disc as usual and wait until the display shows the total number of tracks on the disc.

    iPod / iPhone Operation This unit incorporates an iPod/iPhone docking function. To select iPod operation, repeatedly press the iPod/CD button until the display shows “No iPod”. Lift up the door of the iPod docking station located on the top front. Install the adaptor (not included) which matches your iPod/iPhone model into the docking tray.
