Installation: Plug and Play Capability

The PowerMic

™

II has full plug and play capability.

To install the PowerMic II on your PC:

1. Plug the PowerMic II into a USB port on your PC.

2. If the Found New Hardware Wizard opens:

• Click Cancel if you have not yet installed your Dictaphone Healthcare Solutions speech-

recognition software. You should not search for any drivers on the Internet.

• Click Next and proceed through the Wizard to install the microphone drivers on your PC

if you have already installed your Dictaphone Healthcare Solutions software.

You can begin using your PowerMic II immediately.

Using the PowerMic

The mouse buttons on the PowerMic II, along with the pointing device, function as a standard

Windows mouse and can be adjusted through the Windows Control Panel. To do so, select Start >

Settings > Control Panel > Mouse.

We recommend that you do not modify the right-handed/left-handed orientation of your mouse. The

trigger on the back of the PowerMic II functions like the left mouse button when your mouse is set

for right-handed orientation (the standard Windows default).
