    IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed: • Read all the instructions. • Do not use the unit for anything other than intended use. • Never immerse the unit fully into water or other liquid to avoid damage to the unit.
  • Page 5 • Do not set heated unit on a finished wood table. It is suggested to place a trivet (not included) under the unit to prevent possible damage. • During cooking, do not remove the magnet from the slow cooker as this can damage the surface of the magnet.
  • Page 6 • Do not operate unit with a damaged cord or plug or after the unit malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. • An extension cord my be used with care; however, the marked electrical rating should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the unit.

    BEFORE FIRST USE 1. Remove all packaging materials. Locate all included parts before discarding the box. 2. Clean the stoneware and lid with hot water, dishwashing liquid, and a non-abrasive sponge. 3. Wipe the inside and outside of the unit and magnet with a soft cloth.
  • Page 8 CLEANING Clean after every use. 1. Switch the control knob on the unit to the “OFF” position, unplug the unit and allow to cool completely. Never wash the stoneware or glass lid when they are hot. CAUTION: To prevent injury or electric shock, do not immerse cord in water or other liquid.
