M AINTENANCE FREQUENCY
Under heavy duty use or severely polluted areas, inspect the UV tubes for fine dust build up collecting on UV
generator tube surfaces. Light duty use requires cleaning every 2 to 12 m onths depending on the severity of dust
in the feed air. In severe dusty conditions cleaning can be as often as 4-6 weeks.
DESCRIPTION OF OZO NE GENERATOR
These ozone generators produce ozone by UV light, converting norm al oxygen to ozone gas which is a very strong
oxidizing agent used to destroy odors and other organic contam inants.
PLACEM ENT OF UNIT
This ozone generator is designed to be installed in the return or output side of an air handling system . It is
however recom m ended to install it in the return side before the filter if possible, placem ent before the filter will
increase the efficiency of the filter. It uses 100VAC - 240VAC desktop power adapter for North Am erica and for
European countries. European custom ers will have to supply the proper IEC power cord (this can be acquired at
any com puter shop).
Please note the follow ing points w hen placing the unit.
-Place in a spot in the duct that allows the rem oval of the UV tube without rem oving the entire tube m ount.
-If you wish to treat the entire area heated or cooled it is important to place the tube in the return duct, if
treatm ent of only one duct is required/preferred then install the tube m ount in that duct.
-Ensure that the unit gets proper fresh air flow and is not blocked by anything inside the duct.
