    When using the wrench make sure you wear the gloves provided. Replacements or extra pairs are available from Mainline Optical Connections. If this task is not done on a daily basis the socks will continue to fill and the emptying will become difficult, possibly leading to the socks being damaged and affecting the performance of the filtration unit.

    Changing the Socks Every 4000-6000 lenses for the Duo unit and 2000-3000 lenses for the compact unit (or as required due to differing water quality or lens materials) the filter socks require changing Safety Notice – Wear safety glasses when removing the socks from the unit.

    Emptying the Waste Adaptors After cutting polycarbonate lenses we recommend that you remove and empty the waste adaptors under your edging machines. The adaptors can get blocked with large chunks of polycarbonate lens due to its cutting process. If the waste adaptors are not emptied this could lead to them blocking and water backing up and forced back into the edger.

    Changing the Central Chamber Bag Remove the old bag from the chamber – this may need to be cut off if you have an original chamber from Mainline Optical Connections (see photo below). If your central chamber has been replaced before then you will just need to pull the folded flap up and over at the top of the chamber, breaking the bond of adhesive.
  • Page 12 Clean up the central chamber framework and lay the new bag, seam down on a flat surface. Holding the chamber lengthways down and slide the bottom of the chamber into the new bag. Put the top of the central chamber onto a flat surface and pull the bag down the length of the chamber.

    Duo/Compact Tank Emptying Procedure 1. Connect cleaning kit pipe to one of the pumps within the tank. To do this, disconnect the pump from the edger at the white connector and insert the connector from the cleaning kit pipe. Disconnect pump from edger pipe Connect cleaning pipe to pump 2.
