Upgrading Prism Hardware This chapter describes how to install a new hardware module into the Prism. Use these instructions to: Add a second BPU Install dual-port (T1 or E1) ISDN modules Add a Quad BRI module Add a Continuous Presence (CPM) module... - Page 26 UPGRADING PRISM HARDWARE 5. Decide where the new module should be installed. Inspect the existing modules to determine what chassis slots are free. Refer to the table below to determine what slots the new modules require. For example, BPUs can go only into slots 1 or 2.
