Intended use
This camera is meant for mounting in, and protecting, secluded or critical areas (e.g.
entrance areas, surveillance of underground car parks and the like).
The camera is qualified for both indoor and outdoor use (IP65). However, the enclosed
AC adapter may only be used in dry, closed rooms.
The camera delivers a CVBS video signal (PAL), which can be recorded and displayed
by means of appropriate equipment (not included). The voltage/power is supplied to
the camera via the included AC adapter.
Please bear in mind that it is prohibited by law to observe strangers with a camera
without their knowledge and consent. Observe the rules and regulations of the country
where you are using the camera.
Safety instructions and all other information contained in this manual must be strictly
followed.
Any use other than that described above may damage the product. Moreover, this may
give rise to hazards such as short-circuiting, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the
product may be modified or converted!

Safety instructions
T he warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to ob-
serve these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any con-
sequential damage!
W e do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by improper handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The
warranty will be void in such cases.
Dear customer,
these safety instructions are not only to protect the product but also for your
own safety and that of other people. Therefore, please read this chapter
very carefully before using the product for the first time!
a) General
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is inad-
missible because of safety and approval reasons (CE). Do not open/disas-
semble! It does not contain any internal parts that need to be adjusted or
maintained by you.
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. It
should be operated out of the reach of children.
• Make sure that the connection cables are not pinched or damaged by
sharp edges.
• If the camera is used with other devices (e.g. a monitor), the operating
instructions and safety notices for these devices must be followed as well.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous
playthings for children.
• In industrial facilities, the regulations for the prevention of accidents laid
down by the professional trade associations for electrical equipment and
facilities must be adhered to.
• In schools, educational centres, hobby and self-help workshops the op-
eration of the product is to be supervised by trained employees.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or
accidental drops, even from a low height.
• A safe operation can no longer be assumed, if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device no longer works
- the device was stored for a longer period of time in unfavourable condi-
tions
- heavy loads occurred during transport

b) Camera
• The camera is only intended to be used with a stabilised direct current of
12 V/DC. The inner contact of the round plug should be Plus/"+", the outer
contact Minus/"-".
• The camera is suitable for use in indoor and outdoor areas (IP65). How-
ever, it must never be operated in or under water, this will damage it.
• The plugs at the connection cable of the camera are not waterproof or
water tight and must therefore be installed in a dry indoor area.
• The use of the surveillance camera system does not replace the personal
supervision of children, or people who require special assistance, but only
serves as a support to this supervision.
• The camera should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sun-
light, strong vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
• Make sure that the connection cable is not pinched or damaged by sharp
edges.
• Disconnect the power supply from the power socket if the camera will not
be used for a while (e.g. storage).
c) Power adapter
• The design of the power adapter complies with protection class II. Only
use a standard mains socket as the voltage source (see section „Techni-
cal data").
• The power adapter is only intended for use in dry indoor rooms; it must not
get damp or wet; never touch it with wet hands!
There is a risk of life-threatening electric shock!
Protect the power adapter from direct solar radiation, strong heat, cold,
dust and dirt, vibrations or mechanical loads.
• When the product is taken from a cold to a warm room (e.g. during trans-
port), condensation may be produced.
Allow the product to reach room temperature before you connect it to
the mains voltage. This may take several hours. Otherwise, there is lethal
danger due to an electric shock!
• Do not pull the power adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the
cable.
• If the power adapter is damaged, do not touch it; there is danger to life
from electric shock!
Switch off the power socket to which the AC adapter is connected (switch
off the associated circuit breaker or remove the fuse, then switch off the
residual current device).
You can then unplug the power adapter from the mains socket. Dispose of
the damaged power adapter in an environmental-friendly way, do not use
it any more.
Replace it with a new wall plug transformer with the same specifications.
