General Information
H-Trace Battery is a modern battery rear light suitable for mounting on a carrier with 50mm mounting
hole spacing. The dynamo version is suitable for both 6V/3W and 6V/1.5W dynamos. The e-bike version
is designed for a DC voltage from 6 to 12V.
Should one of the LEDs fail, the whole rear light unit must be replaced.
Mounting instructions
Alignment: Assemble the rear light so that the reference axis is aligned parallel to the road and the
length axis of the bicycle.
Mounting height: According to German law (§67 StVZO), the rear light must be mounted at a height
of 250-1200mm.
Please note that the unit must not be covered. The light must also be clearly visible from the sides.

Electrical connection
Alternative 1: Strip the cable ends to a length of approximately 12mm and connect using the
enclosed plastic plugs
Alternative 2: Connect the cable with connector plugs (2.8 x 0.5mm). The contact assignment
(current/ground or +/-) is freely selectable. The rearlight and frontlight must not be switched on
together unless they are operated by the means of a dynamo. In dynamo mode, if the front light
has a switch, the rear light is powered by the front light.
Stationary light feature (dynamo version only)
Part of the energy generated by the dynamo is stored in a capacitor which is fully charged in
approximately 3 minutes of cycling. When the bike is stationary, the LEDs are powered by the
capacitor for several minutes.
