Getting started
• Hair should be clean dry and tangle free before styling.
• Plug the straightener into an electrical outlet. Press and hold the ON/OFF button until the unit turns on and the LCD lights up.
• Adjust the temperature using the +/- buttons. The ready light will fl ash while the unit heats up, then glow steadily when it has
reached the selected temperature.
• Divide hair into manageable sections and clip the upper layers on top of your head and out of the way. Work with underneath
layers fi rst.
• Test the styler on a small section of hair, then adjust the temperature up or down before styling the rest of your hair.
NOTE:
• If you fi nd that you need a higher setting while straightening your hair, simply adjust the temperature by pressing the "+"
button.
The LED will stop fl ashing when it reaches the new temperature.
• While straightening your hair, if you fi nd that you need a lower setting, adjust the temperature by pressing the "-" button.
Because the unit is already hot, it may take a few minutes to cool off. The LED will stop fl ashing when it reaches the new
temperature.
The guide below will help you select the correct heat setting for your hair type:
• For coarse, curly or hard to straighten hair – Med-high temperature setting 150ºC - 200ºC
• For fi ne, medium textured or coloured hair – Low-med heat setting 100ºC - 150ºC
• For pale blonde or colour treated hair – Start on the low heat setting and increase accordingly
CREATE YOUR STYLE!
SMOOTH AND SLEEK (FIG 2)
• Take a small section of hair and pull hair down and away from your scalp, and hold it taut.
• Starting at the roots, clamp hair fi rmly between the plates and run the styler down the entire section from root to tip, in one
smooth stroke.
• Do not hold it in one area for a long period of time or damage to hair may occur.
• Repeat with all sections of your hair, working with the underneath layers fi rst, then the top and sides.
PROFESSIONAL CURLS (FIG 3)
• Firmly grip a section of hair between the plates, close to the roots.
• Keeping tension fi rm gently rotate the styler whilst pulling through the length of the hair section to the tips using the curl
guides to grip and shape the curl as you style.
• Make sure to keep rotating the styler.
• Remove styler and holding the hair length, allow the curl to spring into shape.
• Repeat using different size sections of hair for a natural soft curl look.
QUICK FLICKS (FIG 4)
• Sleeken hair so that is smooth and shiny.
• Take appropriate size sections of layered hair from around the face.
• Grip the hair and turn the straightener so it is fl ipped away from the face.
• Repeat until the desired amount of fl ick is styled around the face.
