ArtoAmp 150. Unpacking Carefully lift the ArtoAmp 150 out of the box and make sure not to scratch the surfaces. Please save the packaging in a dry place for future use. Your ArtoAmp 150 is a delicate precision electronic instrument and should always be properly packed before transportation.
GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Read instructions All the safety and operating instructions should be read carefully before the unit is operated. Retain instructions The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference. Heed warnings All warnings on the equipment and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.
Heat The unit should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, direct sunlight or other components that produce heat. Ventilation The unit should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. For example, the unit should not be situated on a bed, sofa, rug, carpet, or similar surface that may block the ventilation openings, or placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or closed cabinet that may impede the flow of air through the...
Rear panel The rear panel of the ArtoAmp 150 has an input socket for the mains cable and inputs and outputs for analog signals plus a socket for a Bluetooth antenna.
Make all connections before fitting the mains power cord. ON/OFF Press the ON/OFF button on the back of the ArtoAmp 150 to power it Standby You will notice that the ARTORA products do not have a standby function.

Loudspeakers The rear panel of the ArtoAmp 150 has one pair of banana output sockets on either side. Please make sure not to short the wires when you connect your loudspeakers. For sonic reasons the ArtoAmp 150 has no protection against short circuits.

‘LESS IS MORE’ The ArtoAmp 150 has three hidden switches incorporated in the words ‘LESS IS MORE’ on top of the cabinet. These three switches/words control all basic functions of the ArtoAmp. You’ll get familiar with the various commands after just a few minutes.

As a rule all display readouts will be dimmed to the chosen light setting three seconds after the last command. Dimmer The display in the ArtoAmp 150 has three different light settings: High, low and shut off. Use the ArtoRemote to select which setting you prefer (please refer to section about the ArtoRemote).

Activate Bluetooth on your mobile phone and set up the ArtoAmp like you would a Bluetooth headset. The ArtoAmp will show itself as ‘ARTORA’ when your mobile phone is “looking” for it. If asked for a code, press ‘0000’. Please be aware that the ArtoAmp will take a few moments to connect to your mobile phone the first time.
Make sure the line input on the ArtoAmp is set to ‘BT’. Activate Bluetooth on your computer and set up the ArtoAmp like you would a Bluetooth headset. The ArtoAmp will show itself as ‘ARTORA’ when your computer is “looking” for it.

A mild, non-alkaline soap solution may be used to remove fingerprints or similar smudges. Cleaners containing abrasives should NOT be used, as they will damage the finish of the cabinet. The user should NOT attempt to service the ArtoAmp 150 beyond that...

All other servicing should be referred to authorized service personnel. ArtoRemote remote-control (optional) Controls both ArtoPlayer 1000 and ArtoAmp 150 PLAY: Press in order to play a disc from the first track. PAUSE: Press once during play to pause the disc. Press again to resume playback.

REPEAT: Press simultaneously in order to repeat the entire disc. Press both buttons again to turn off repeat mode. DIMMER: Press to adjust the intensity of the light in the display. VOLUME UP: Press to turn up the volume. VOLUME DOWN: Press to turn down the volume.

For reliable operation of the remote control, it is important that there is a clear line of sight between the handset and the ArtoAmp 150. Display & Dimmer Any touching of the remote control buttons will cause the ArtoAmp display to be immediately lit in order to let you know that the command has been received.
WARRANTY Limited warranty ARTORA warrants the product designated herein to be free of manu- facturing defects in material and workmanship, subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase by the original purchaser.

In the unlikely event of service required beyond the capability of the importer, ARTORA will fulfill the conditions of the warranty. Such product must be returned to ARTORA together with a copy of the bill of sale for that product, a detailed description of the problem, and such information necessary for return shipment.

If these terms are not fulfilled, ARTORA will not cover the repair costs. Miscellaneous Any implied warranties relating to the above product shall be limited to the duration of this warranty. The warranty does not extend to any incidental or consequential costs or damages to the purchaser.
