CONNECTING THE HEATER TO THE MAINS All heaters incorporate a 4 core mains cable. The heater must be connected to fixed wiring via a double pole isolating switch having a contact separation of 3 mm in each pole and in accordance with I.E.E. regulations currently in force and in accordance with any local code of practice.
SETTING THE CONTROLS Ensure that the appliance is securely fixed to the wall with the correct electrical connections made. Switch on the heater by pressing the switch A, and turn the thermostat dial (B) to 30 (max.). Red LED C should come on, indicating that the heater is on and working. When the required room temperature is reached, slowly turn the thermostat dial B backwards from the 30 until the light C goes out.

The 15 defined pre-programmes will be indicated as P0, P1, ..,P9, E1, E2, .., E5 in the display. Refer to the programme chart below and select one pre-programmed to suit the end user. Press the MODE key once more. The DAY (F) LED will light up and indicate that a weekday may be chosen.

DISMANTLING PROCEDURE ALWAYS ISOLATE THE HEATER FROM THE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY/SUPPLIES before undertaking any maintenance work. As Tele-switching of off peak supplies becomes more common, and the times at which off peak supplies are available varies, it is essential that the off peak consumer unit as well as the adjacent isolator switch are both switched off prior to servicing the heater.

Prise the 2 plastic, thermostat-securing lugs apart, and lift the thermostat from the plastic bracket. Note the orientation of the thermostat to ensure new unit is fitted back in the same way. Remove the 2 terminals from the old thermostat and fit the new unit in the same way. If enhanced access is required the plastic housing can be removed by pulling the top edge towards you, and twisting the housing anti-clockwise through 45°.
