- Page 2 Congratulations and thank you for purchasing the Lumicon Deluxe Piggyback Mount. The Lumicon Deluxe Piggyback Mount allows you to mount cameras having ¼-20 threaded mounting holes onto medium and large telescopes. It is adjustable in azimuth and altitude, thus allowing you to align your camera with the optics of your main telescope.
- Page 3 2. Place the mounting base at the desired location on your telescope’s main tube. On Scmidt-Cassegrain telescopes, use existing mounting holes/screws. For Newtonians, use the two 8-32 screws/nuts provided. 3. Remove the plastic knob with the ¼-20 bolt from its storage position near the middle of the flat mounting plate and reinsert it up-side-down through the hole closest to the end.
- Page 4 Adjustment Adjust the camera in azimuth by loosening the ¼-20 black nylon thumbscrew, then tightening. Adjust altitude by pivoting the platform, then lock it in place by tightening the 6- 32 thumbscrew.
