    02 - Introduction Thank you for choosing the Sentry MK4 Mass Fever Screening System (MFSS). The Sentry MK4 MFSS comes with all the components ready to install and operate, making it the most user-friendly Mass Fever Screening System available. We would like to help you create an effective screening operation with our system that offers maximum protection.

    (38°C) is possible but may result in longer stabilization time and reduced accuracy. 2.4 Screening Considerations The Sentry MK4 MFSS is designed to screen persons for elevated skin temperature. Therefore, consideration needs to be given to ensure the person’s skin is not adversely affected by the external environment.

    2.5 System Positioning The illustration below shows how the Sentry MK4 components should be positioned in the screening area. For mobile setup, we recommend the system to be installed on our custom-designed mobile pedestal. This pedestal is designed with features that are best suited for the Sentry MK4 MFSS.

    2.6 System Connection This diagram provides an overview of the connection between different components of the Sentry MK4 MFSS. The TRS is physically on its own and requires only a power source. TRS communicates with the rest of the system via Bluetooth.

    2.7 System Setup (with Pedestal) You can quickly set up the system by following the simple steps below. For efficient and streamlined setup, we recommend you complete the setup and power up camera side before working on TRS. Install the Camera onto the ball-head connector of the mobile pedestal.

    Virtual keypad 4.2 Operating Menu Sentry MK4 MFSS operating menu consists of 4 sections for the Admin access level. For User access level, the Set TRS, Trigger Temperature, Zone, Masks and Audio Alarm functions are accessible by default (Please see Chapter 5).

    4.3 TRS (Thermal Reference Source) When the system is turned on, the TRS (Thermal Reference Source) needs to be set up. Ensure the TRS unit is within the sight of the camera unit and can be seen within the screens. Set TRS button 4.3.1 Setting the TRS 1.

    4.3.2 Trigger The trigger value is a set temperature threshold for the system to activate the alarm within the screening zone/ area. Any febrile person with a projected body temperature equal to or higher than the set trigger value will activate an alarm and tracking box on both the thermal and day camera screens.

    4.4 Camera The Camera menu consists of the Zone, Masks and Display Palette functions. The Zone and Masks function similarly although they are designed for opposing purposes. 4.4.1 Zone This function allows you to set a Zone area that you wish to monitor. Any febrile person within the Zone area with a projected core body temperature equal to or higher than the set trigger value will activate an alarm and tracking box on both the thermal and day camera screens.

    4.4.2 Mask 1 and 2 This function allows you to mask away a known hot area within the screening area to prevent the alarm from being activated. There are a total of 2 Masks available. If there are too many hot spots, you can use the Zone function instead to focus on the important area.

    4.4.3 Display Palette The Display Palette allows you to switch between 6 different colour modes in the system: 1. There are Privacy Levels ranging from Level 1 to Level 4. Privacy Level 1 will provide the most detailed thermal images. As the levels increases from Level 2 to 4 the details on the thermal images will become more discreet and less fine.

    4.5 Systems Setting There are 8 functions on the Systems menu: 24HR Record, Rec on Detect, IP Setting, Firmware Update, Audio Alarm, Time Settings, Storage Info, Export Video. The following advanced functions are explained in Chapter 08 – Advanced Functions. Please refer to the relevant sections for details.

    4.5.2 Time Setting Select on “Time Setting” to set or change the time, time zone and date. 4.6 User In this section of the operating menu, you can change the password for both the Admin and User levels. Select the password field of the [Admin] or [User]. Enter the desired password by using the keypad and select button to confirm.

    The User level has access to the following functions by default. However, the Admin can choose to disallow/ allow the rights to access any of these functions.     06 - Deployment Layout As mentioned in section 2.3, the ideal deployment location is a natural funnel that channels human traffic into a manageable and controlled flow. If such an area is unavailable, create a passage with barriers placed. As the system only screen persons facing the camera, we recommend outgoing traffic be channeled through other paths.

    07 - Recommended Screening Process and Best Practices Sentry MK4 MFSS scans skin temperature to determine if a person has an elevated body temperature and is not reflective of the actual core body temperature. To further enhance the effectiveness of the screening operation, we recommends the following screening process and practices which is encapsulated from our decade of experience and involvement with such screening operation during pandemics like SARs.

    08 - Advanced Functions 8.1 24HR Record The [24hr Record] function enables the camera to record on screen video for the duration of 24 hours, regardless if a febrile person is detected or not. It is recommended to insert either a U3 micro SD card or a USB 3.0 drive into the micro SD or USB 3.0 ports located on the console respectively.

    8.3 Storage Info The [Storage Info] button will redirect you to a separate section. A compatible USB 3.0 drive or U3 micro SD card is recommended to obtain all the storage information about the respective storage devices. 1. Insert the USB 3.0 drive or U3 micro SD card into the USB 3.0 or micro SD ports of your console. The total storage capacity (256GB) and the amount of free storage of the storage device will then be shown after selecting the [Storage Info] button.

    8.4 Export Video The [Export Video] function will allow you to send the recorded video footage to an external storage device. A USB 3.0 drive or U3 micro SD card is recommended if you want to export the recorded video. 1.

    8.5 IP Setting There are different sets of IP address fields within the system: 1. Console IP – Indicates the current console IP address. 2. Ethernet IP – Indicates the ethernet IP address that will allow users to access the system via a local network.

    8.6 Firmware Update The [Firmware Update] function allows you to update the camera and console’s firmware to the latest version. To execute the update, a USB 3.0 drive is recommended. Dowload the latest firmware for the camera or the console from our website at www.omnisense-systems.com and save it in the drive. 1.

    The Security function located at the Systems section of the Admin menu allows you to change the login settings of the Sentry MK4 MFSS in HTML. You can change the username or password in the menu. Enter the old and new usernames or passwords and click on the button to confirm.
