To troubleshoot the Medion MD 10954 base unit not receiving outdoor temperature readings:

1. Battery Check: Ensure both the base unit and outdoor transmitter have fresh AA alkaline batteries installed correctly with proper polarity.

2. RESET Procedure: Press the RESET button on both the base unit and outdoor transmitter using a thin pointed object.

3. Wait for Signal: After resetting, do not press any buttons for at least 10 minutes. The outdoor temperature signal takes about 2 minutes to be received.

4. Distance and Position: Make sure the transmitter is within 100 feet of the base unit and is facing it. Avoid placing devices near large metal objects or sources of interference.

5. Channel Switch: Ensure the transmitter’s channel switch is set to Channel 1 and has not been changed.
