BATTERY CARE AND MAINTENANCE Proper care of your battery will insure a long life and trouble free service. Stand Aid uses a gel cell battery that DOES NOT require water and will not emit harmful vapors when charging. If you use your Freedom Chair on a daily basis, charge your battery 4-5 times per week for 1-2 hours at a time. -
