MAINTENANCE

Clean
The best way to extend the life of your wooden outdoor furniture is by
cleaning it regularly. Clean with a mild soapy solution. Wipe dry with a clean
and dry cloth.
Do not
Do not paint. Do not use any chemical treatments or impregnation. Siberian Larch has
high tar and resin content which does not let the paint to absorbe.
Do not use in sauna. Siberian larch has high tar and resin content which makes it
unsuitable to use in sauna.
Our recommendations
Siberian larch is durable enough for outdoor use. The best way to extend the life of your
wooden outdoor furniture is to:
clean it regularly;
not leave it outdoors unprotected more than necessary;
oil the wood surfaces before starting to use our products products;
re-oil it on regural basis, for example once a year. You may need to oil the furniture more
frequently, depending on the climate you live in and the furniture's exposure to sun and
rain. Re-oiling prevents the surface from drying out and cracking and moisture from
penetrating into the wood;
oil it with natural linseed oil. We do not recommend to use tinted oil because it may wear
out unevenly. If you decide to use tinted oil, remove the ropes before oiling because the
ropes may absorbe the color.

How to oil wood surfaces

1. Choose a place in the shade for cleaning, oiling and leaving the furniture to dry. Avoid
direct sunlight.
2. Wipe the surfaces clean with a soft cloth dampened in water (if you have a new product use
just water) and a mild soapy solution, if necessary. Wipe dry with a clean and dry cloth.
3. If wood fibres rise after cleaning, sand the surface with fine grade sandpaper.
4. Apply a thin coat of oil to the furniture using a brush or sponge in the direction of the grain.
5. Let it dry for a day and wipe off any excess with a dry cloth.
6. Wash your hands with soap and water.
ROPES AND LAZY PILLOW
MAINTENANCE
Our ropes are made of natural jute. Do not wash, bleach, tumble dry, iron or dryclean. Just
gently brush those if necessary.
Lazy pillow cover is made of 100% linen fabric. It is machine washable (max 40⁰C) with normal
process. Iron max 150⁰C. Do not bleach or tumble dry.
Lazy pillow filling is made of 100% polyester. It is machine washable (max 60⁰C) with normal
process. Do not iron, dryclean, bleach or tumble dry.
To increase the stability of your furniture, retighten the screws and ropes at least once per
season.
