    Compatible and Incompatible M.2 SSD ■ Compatibility of M.2 SSD This product is designed for NVMe M.2 SSD, thus it does not support SATA and AHCI M.2 (NGFF) SSD. Please refer to the diagram below to check if your SSD can be installed. In the case of AHCI M.2 SSD, it may be difficult to distinguish at a quick glance, as they both look extremely similar.

    Attach Heat Sink to the SSD This article explains how to attach the heat sink to the SSD. Although it is possible to use without attaching the heat sink, it is recommended to at- tach and use the heat sink because the SSD becomes hot during use. About the mounting surface of the heat sink: In the case of double-sided mounting, it is recommended to mount the heat sink on the side where the controller IC is mounted.

    Connect the SSD This page explains how to attach SSD to this product. This product does not support M.2 SSD plug and play. Therefore, even if this product and a PC are connected via USB, it will not be recognized even if you insert an M.2 SSD. Be sure to remove the USB cable from this product when inserting or removing the M.2 SSD.

Unplugging the product without safe removal may cause problems such as data loss. This product does not support M.2 SSD plug and play. Therefore, even if only the M.2 SSD is removed, with the USB connection between this product and PC intact, removal cannot be performed normally.
