1. Opening the USB Cover
 In order to charge the battery or insert the SD card into the camcorder make sure you are away
from water and your hands are dry.
 Turn and hold the camcorder so that the bottom section is facing up.
 Hold the main body of the camcorder firmly with one hand and use the thumb of the other hand to
press and pull the USB cover lever up to the end as indicated in diagram (A) and (B).
 The USB cover will be released and will open (C).

Note:
- When opening the USB cover, please ensure that your hands are dry.
- As this is a water resistance camcorder, you may feel that the door is very tight and difficult to
open. This is normal. Just follow the instructions above, and make sure to pull the USB cover
lever to the end of the slot.
2. Closing the USB Cover

After charging and correctly inserting the SD card, make sure the door is clean and no dirt is
sticking to it before closing.

Close the USB cover by pressing it with your finger. To assure that the door is closed properly,
firmly press up on the section of the USB cover as shown in diagram (A) below. You will hear a
"click" as it locks into place.
