Bradcot Annexe Erection Instructions

Quick Links

Before commencing erection of the Annexe it is vital that the awning is fully erected, tensioned and
pegged as if the Annexe were not to be used.
Tip!
Slide approx. 10 grey 'sliding pegging anchors' onto the piping of the PVC splashwall, positioning 3-
4 on each side of the Annexe skirt before erecting.
Tip!
Notice the double 'sewn-in' pegging anchors at corner points C & D. It's these that will play an
important part in stretching the Annexe canvas over its frame. Points 4 & 8 explains all!
1. Remove the appropriate side panel from your awning. If you'd like to zip the side panel back into
the Annexe later, you should leave all the pegs 'in situ' and just withdraw them sufficiently to
release the pegging ladders.
2. Attach the Annexe to the awning bringing 1 zip slider from each side to meet in the centre of the
zip at head height. (Between the points 'O' on diagram 1.
3. Next peg the Annexe to the ground using the fixed anchors at point A (nearest to the awning side
panel) on both sides.
4. Place a rubber pegging ladder on each of the double 'sewn-in' pegging anchors at points C & D as
shown in diagram 1 (2 ladders in each corner). Peg the outside rubber pegging ladders on each
corner point C & D, ensuring that all 3 sides of the Annexe are taut and the Annexe is as square
to the awning as possible. The additional ladder at these points must be pulled into the Annexe
itself and will eventually (point 8) have the spiked foot of the upright leg placed into the 2
rung of the ladder. See diagram 2.
5. Peg the remaining pegging points down at each side and across the back.
6. Assemble the frame (as per frame diagram in box) omitting the centre roof pole at this stage.
7. Offer the '45 degree goalpost' arrangement along with the 2 corner upright legs into the Annexe
body. Be careful not to extend the legs too much at this point to allow easy entry.
8.
Tip!
To stop the frame from slipping, place the spiked foot of each of the '45 degree legs' into
the pegging ladders on the 'awning' (not the Annexe). The spiked foot of the corner 'upright' legs
can now be placed into the 2
points C & D – see point 4 and diagram 2.
9. Tension the upright legs and the 45 degree legs until adequate tension is achieved.
