    SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Recommended minimum system requirements: Intel Pentium 2 GHz CPU or higher (or equivalent x86 compatible CPU), • 1 GB RAM or more (depending on application), • 32 or 64-bit Microsoft Windows7/8.1/10/Vista operating system or Linux operating system • (kernel version 3.2), Integrated USB 2.0 port (on motherboard).

    HARDWARE INSTALLATION Please follow the steps below to connect your PR device to the PC. 1. Connect the PR device to one of the USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports of your PC with the supplied USB cable. 2. Connect the power supply * to the device. Only applicable to the devices shipped with a power supply.

    INSTALLATION ON WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEMS Administrator rights are needed for installation. Upon installation of the 32-bit version to a 64-bit PC, the 64-bit device drivers are installed automatically.     2.1. PC/SC DRIVER The PC/SC driver is part of the Passport Reader installer package. The icon of the PC/SC driver can be found in the toolbar. By double clicking on it, the PC/SC Control window appears. The default status is either READY or STARTED (if PC/SC Autostart is enabled).
