TROUBLESHOOTING RESUME switch off and insert a disc. Close CD door and press PLAY button. Is “00” flashing on LCD ? Is “01” displayed after “00” flashed ? Is the audio signal present at the output terminals ? Press key. Can a selected track number be searched smoothly ?
Repair Item 1: At power on, “00” is not displayed. RESUME switch (SW101) off position. Is +3.2 V lines normal ? Q106, Q107 or Q108 is defective. Check circuit around IC101 and IC104. Is the waveform IC101 is defective. 3.2 V at IC104 pin 28 like that Check circuit around IC101 and IC104.
Note: Connect GND to door switch by removing the Repair Item 2-A top cabinet. Than open the top cover and check the radiation power with an optical power meter. If an optical power meter is not available, watch the radiation through the lens of the pickup unit at a minimum distance of 30 cm from the pickup unit.
