for the following steps.
Set all of the Amplifier switches and controls as
directed in the following steps. Then do not
change the position of any control or switch un
less a step or check instructs you to do so.
INSPECTION
1.Inspection. A careful check for obvious
assembly errors or visible problems.
2.Resistance And Test Lamp Checks. These
checks make use of an ohmmeter and atest
lamp to make sure the power supply and DC
voltage distribution circuits are not shorted.
3.Hum Injection Tests. These tests assure you
that all sections of the amplifier are oper
ating properly.
Initial Checkout is divided into the following
parts:
The purpose of the Initial Checkout section of the
Manual is to make sure that your Amplifier will
operate properly, and that it will not be damaged
as a result of a wiring error or some other
difficulty when it is first turned on. A transistor,
for example, could be destroyed instantly by a
short circuit that causes excessive current.
