H-clamp Quick Reference Guide

To attach the H-clamp:

1.
Screw the H-clamp's boom securely into
the chosen microphone's clip or mount
2.
Select the most obvious position on your
instrument for attaching the H-clamp
3.
Ensure the boom is being held firmly by
the boom grip (so it will not swing around
while you position the H-clamp on your
instrument)
4.
Use the tightening screw under the
bottom disk to adjust the width of the
clamp to fit your instrument.
5.
Carefully slip the H-clamp disks either
side of the instrument's body until the
stalks of the disks are pressed gently
against the edge of the instrument
6.
Orientate the clamp to put the boom in
the desired position and tighten the clamp
by turning the screw under the bottom
clamp disk
7.
Ensure both the clamp and the boom
tightening screws are secure enough to
hold the weight of the chosen microphone
8.
Fit the microphone in its clip / mount
9.
While holding the microphone, loosen the
boom grip slightly and move the boom to
position the microphone precisely, then
re-tighten securely.
10.
To reposition the H-clamp (now with
microphone attached), hold the clamp /
microphone carefully with one hand and
loosen the clamp tightening screw under
the bottom clamp disk with the other.
Re-position the clamp and then re-tighten
it securely.
