LED Technology All Avlite lights use the latest advancements in LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology as a light source. The major advantage of LED’s over traditional light sources is well established in that they typically have an operational life in excess of 100,000 hours, resulting in substantial savings to maintenance and servicing costs.

The lights can be configured for up to 10 different light groups which allows control of different lighting circuits on the helipad. Due to the handheld nature of the Avlite Controller, it can be used from most positions on the helipad which allows for easy and efficient activation of different light groups in the airfield without affecting other lights.

Make sure the Solar Power Unit is just below 25cm high and levelled • If required, tighten the hex sockets at the Frangible Sleeve Connect the LED Floodlight Unit to the Solar Assembly using the Avlite supplied 2m long cable. Note: Cable glands not shown for clarity.

Determine to which group each individual light belongs. Set the light group by adjusting the Rotary Switch A on the PCB to the appropriate light group (E.g. 0, 1, 2 etc). See figure below: Test the operation of the light by using the Radio Controller Close the PCB enclosure and Solar Assembly.
