Sonar/Fish Finder All Contour and Fish Finder images reproduced by permission from NSI, inc © 2007 Maestro Navigator may be equipped with an optional Sonar system providing ability to detect fish and track bottom conditions as you cruise. The sonar works by sending pulsating sound signals downward from your vessel. When the signals hit a solid object, like the sea floor or a fish, they bounce up again.
