    MODEL DESCRIPTION MACHINE TYPE: This reference can be found in the commercial brochures and the technical manuals. (Plate fixed to the chassis behind the left jack). SERIAL NUMBER: This number can only be found on your machine. It is composed of the model number followed by the serial number.

    GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Training a) Carefully read the operator manual.     Transport [551 lbs] Only staff trained in handling. “Reminder equipment weight: 250 kg ” When the machine is transported on a truck or a trailer or not used for a certain amount of time, it is recommended to shut the fuel valve (under the fuel tank). This will avoid the need to clean the carburetor if dirt manages to penetrate under the carburetor floater needle.

    If fuel is spilled, do not attempt to start the engine until the area has been cleaned and the fuel vapours have dissipated.  Sparks caused by static electricity can cause fires or explosions. A fuel flow can generate static electricity. To prevent static electricity sparks: Do not fill containers in a vehicle or on a truck or skip with a plastic tarpaulin.

    MACHINE OPERATION Controls Movement control The control lever has 4 functions: 1. To put the machine in neutral to stop it or start the engine. 2. To engage the wheel drive: Gradually push the control towards the front to adjust the speed.

    BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE 1. Check the engine oil level and top up if required. Open the fuel valve under the fuel tank. Check that the movement control is in neutral. 2. For cold starts, push the accelerator lever completely forward to activate the choke. 3.

    Use on a slope EXERCISE THE UTMOST CAUTION WHEN WORKING ON SLOPES. ASSESS THE RISKS INVOLVED BEFORE STARTING ANY WORK ON SLOPES.  Beware of rises and falls that affect the slope. Beware of holes, stones on the ground or any other hidden hazards.

    SPREADING MATERIALS Spreading hot mix Place the machine in “hot mix spreading” configuration (see the “hot mix spreading” / “chip spreading” configuration section). Start the machine and run the engine at full speed for at least 20 minutes before starting to spread, in order to allow the smoothing plate to rise in temperature.

    SERVICING AND SETTINGS  Disconnect the spark plug wire or wires before starting any servicing operations.  Do not dismantle the machine without first having checked for residual hydraulic pressure that could cause the sudden movement of parts.  Keep all nuts, bolts and screws correctly tightened to make sure the machine is in a safe working condition.
