    Before connecting the device, check that the supply voltage and frequency are correct at the point of installation (“Electrical data”, page 120 and the information on the type plate, see “Marking and labelling of PrograPrint PR5”, page 23).  To avoid injury to the user and for cooling reasons and fire protection, never remove the housing covers.

Mixing the materials will negatively affect the quality of the dental object (mechanics, colour, precision, biocompatibility). Medical devices, e.g. ProArt Print Splint, cannot be used for patients if they are mixed with other materials. To prevent the mixing of different materials or the use of unsuitable materials, the material bottles are clearly marked and equipped with an RFID chip.

    Initial Operation Inserting / replacing the collecting bottle The collecting bottle is used to collect material spilled in the build chamber for subsequent disposal. Reusing collected material is not recommended as there is a risk of contamination of the material or the mixing of different material types. Also, check the fill level of the collecting bottle after every complete cleaning of the device as well as after an accidental overflowing of the resin tank in the build chamber and replace it, if necessary.

    Processing Print Jobs Transferring print jobs to the printer The “PrograPrint Manager” software is used to transfer the dental objects as print jobs from the “CAMbridge” CAM software on the CAM PC to the printer. The print jobs are prepared and encoded for safety reasons, before they are transferred to the printer.

    Processing Print Jobs Preparing a print job 8.3.1 Preparing the material bottle and cartridge The printer can only be operated with the cartridge in place and with a material bottle that matches the material type in the tank. If the type of material in the tank does not correspond with that in the material bottle, the user interface of the printer will display an error message after the cartridge has been inserted into the printer (“Inserting the cartridge with material bottle”, page 77).

CAUTION! Material contact when working with material bottles and cartridges.
