Please note: GPS location can take a few minutes to find you when you
power your SOS Fob up for the very first time. We suggest that before use,
you place it close to an external window or wear it outside for around 30
minutes.
Step 1) SOS Fob & Screwdriver
Begin by removing the SOS Fob and screwdriver from the LONEALERT
product box.
Step 2) Unscrew SOS Fob
Using the screwdriver, unscrew the 3 screws from the back of the SOS
Fob. Ensure that you place the screws somewhere safe so they do not
get lost.
Step 3) Pull apart the device
Once unscrewed, carefully pull apart the 2 halves
of the SOS fob from the top, be aware there are 2
wires connecting the 2 sides of the device
together. Be careful not to break them.
Step 4) SIM card holder
Open the silver sim card holder by sliding it to the
left and opening it towards you.
Step 5) Pop out the SIM card
Remove the sim card from the top of the product
box, then pop out the micro-sim from the sim card.
Step 6) SIM card holder
Insert the sim card into the slot in the back of the
SOS fob, making sure the golden chip on the sim
faces down into the golden connectors.

Step 7) Close the SIM card holder
Close the silver sim card holder by folding it down
onto the sim card, ensuring the sim card stays in
its slot. Slide the holder to the right to lock the
sim card in place.
Step 8) Screw device back together
Fold the back onto the SOS fob, clipping together the bottom of the 2
halves first, making sure the small clip is socketed correctly. Place the
screws back into the holes in the back of the SOS fob, then screw
them together tightly using the screwdriver. Be careful not to cross-
thread the screws.
Step 9) Rubber plugs
Take the small bag of 3 rubber plugs which is
found in the product box and insert them into the 3
holes on the back of the device to cover the screw
holes.
Step 10) Check the device
Finally, check the device by powering it on - press
and hold the side button for approximately 1-2
seconds until the device vibrates.
If the SIM card has been inserted successfully, the
green LED light should be flashing intermittently. If
the light is solid and not flashing, the SIM card
cannot be detected and may have been inserted
incorrectly. The blue LED is the power indicator and
should flash intermittently.
