RKOL Series Installation Guide
The RKOL LED retrofit kit series is designed to replace light source within conventional lighting fixture.
Following items are included in this box:
•
LED module with mounting bracket, 1pcs
•
LED driver with connector, 1pcs
•
Lamp replacement marking label, 1pcs
•
Accessory pack, 1pcs
•
Installation instruction, 1 set
IMPORTANT
READ CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING THE RETROFIT KIT. KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
•
LED One retrofit kits must be wired in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes.
Proper grounding is required for safety.
•
This product MUST be installed in accordance with the applicable installation code by a person familiar with the
construction and operation of the product.
•
User should prepare necessary accessories and spare parts (not provided) including mounting plates, screwdriver.
WARNING
•
RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK. Make sure power supply is OFF before installing or maintaining the product.
•
RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK. Install this product only in the luminaires that have the construction features and
dimensions shown in the photographs and/or drawings and where the input rating of the product does NOT exceed the
input rating of the luminaire.
•
RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK. To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal
or other sharp objects.
•
RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK. LED retrofit kit installation requires knowledge of luminaires electrical systems. If not
qualified, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician.
•
RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK. Luminaire wiring and electrical parts may be damaged when drilling for installation of
LED retrofit kit. Check for enclosed wiring and components.
Only those open holes indicated in the photographs and/or drawings may be made or altered as a result of kit
installation. Do not leave any other open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components.
•
RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK. Never perform maintenance or cleaning while fixture is energized. Disconnect power
and allow fixture to cool before maintaining.
•
RISK OF INJURY. Wear safety glasses and gloves during installation and servicing.
NOTICE
•
For longest life & heat dissipation - PERMANENTLY REMOVE THE FIXTURE'S REFLECTOR. This product's warranty is void if
the fixture's reflector is not removed. Under no circumstances is it ok to leave the reflector in the fixture. Removing the
reflector provides extra air capacity that is used to keep the LED module and driver cool.
•
Installers should not disconnect existing wires from lamp holder terminals to make new connections at lamp holder
terminals. Instead installers should cut existing lamp holder leads away from the lamp holder and make new electrical
connections to lamp holder lead wires by employing applicable connectors.
•
Never take the retrofit apart. Never touch the LEDs. This way will void the warranty.
•
Be sure nothing will touch or fall into the fan blades after the fixture is mounted.
•
A protective plate must be installed to cover the driver to avoid touching the wires connections.
•
The minimum space of the existing fixture is 120*120*60mm
