OPERATION
Toasting sandwiches
CAUTION: The cooking plates will become extremely hot as soon
as the power cable is connected.
With the sandwich maker lid closed, connect the power
cable to a mains outlet.
The red power indicator will light.
Leave the sandwich maker to warm up.
This will take a few minutes.
When the cooking plates reach working temperature, the green
temperature indicator will light.
Open the catch and lift the lid using the handle.
Taking extreme care to avoid touching the hot cooking plates,
place your prepared sandwiches on the cooking plates.
Close the lid and press the catch shut.
The sandwiches will start to toast.
During cooking, the green temperature indicator will switch on
and off. This is normal.
Lift the lid after about two minutes to check how your
sandwiches are cooking. Close the lid again if they need
longer to cook.
Most sandwiches will take about three minutes to cook.
With experience you will know the best times to cook your
sandwiches.
When your sandwiches have toasted, lift the lid fully.
Disconnect mains power.
Lift the sandwiches from the cooking plates with a heat-
proof wooden or plastic spatula and place them on a serving
plate.
The cooking plates will often cut the sandwiches into 'triangle'
shapes and seal them. Otherwise you will need to cut them apart
with a knife.
Remember that the filling will be very hot, so allow it to cool to a
suitable temperature before eating the sandwiches.
After use
Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool.
Follow the instructions in the Care and Cleaning section to clean
the appliance.
If necessary, move the appliance to a position which is out of
reach of children and pets.
