Next position the honing guide on the

To establish the bevel angle, place a straight
edge on the bevel so it fully contacts the bevel
surface, then slide the honing guide wheel to
contact the straight edge (C – D).

just overhanging the
edge (B).

Once this bevel angle is determined, lock the device
down. The assembly is now ready to use (E).

If a secondary
bevel is desired,
reposition
the
sharpening guide
towards the edge
by 3/8" or invert
the assembly and
use the straight
edge to visualize
the
secondary
bevel (G –H ).

The best results are achieved on a low speed grinder with a wheel 8″ in diameter or greater. Frequent cooling of the blade is recommended if the grinder is not self-whetting.
