- Page 11 CD Changer Detailed Installation Instruction Engage emergency brake. Open center console lid. Remove trim caps using non-marring flat tool and remove screws using Phillips screwdriver. Lift console trim piece. Disengage harnesses connected to console trim piece. Place automatic shifter into "1" position (if manual vehicle place in neutral and un-screw and remove shift knob) and remove shifter trim Disconnect negative battery terminal using a 10-mm tool.
