▼The Extender 1.7XR
The Extender 1.7XR has been built into the FOA-60. It is 2-group 4-element and built-in
the light pass in between the main tube and the focuser unit different from the conventional
extenders. This will extend the original focal length and further improve the center
aberration as well as the aberration near the edge, improving flatness across the entire field.
With the Extender 1.7XR, the effective focal length of the FOA-60 is extended to 900mm
(f/15.0). This combination will produce the ultimate optical performance of all Takahashi
telescopes. Over the visible light transmission area and across full format cameras, its
Strehl ratio will be over 99%.
