BEFORE YOU GO CAMPING, DO THIS FIRST!
Before you start putting up your tent, we encourage you to assemble
your bell tent at home or any place, prior to your camping trip to get
familiar with the set up process before you arrive at camp.
Make sure to read the owner's manual carefully before you start setting
up your canvas tent.
SEASONING YOUR TENT
With your canvas tent set up, we recommend that you spray the tent
with water and allow it to dry completely. This process is known as
seasoning the canvas. The water causes the fibers to swell and tighten
up, closing any fiber holes made in the manufacturing process. You
only need to "season" your tent once.
The set up process requires only one person and it takes around twenty
minutes. If you have a helping hand, it can be done faster.Make sure
to read the warnings and care instructions to ensure longevity of
yourtent. As it's made from durable canvas, it will last longer and
worth every cent of your investment!
Please contact us if you have any questions, any bright ideas or if you
think we should do things differently. We would love to hear about
your experience!

Where do you put the portable airconditioner unit and where does the hose go. Do all lower vent areas open so the hose can fit outside and not let the heat in on an Avalon 13 by 13 bell tent and also the 10 by 12 Wall Tent? Thank you?

To install a portable (freestanding) air conditioner in a White Duck Outdoors Avalon 13x13 bell tent or a 10x12 wall tent:

1. Set Up the Tent: Fully set up the tent before installing the AC unit.

2. Position the AC Unit: Place the freestanding AC unit inside the tent near a door or vent opening.

3. Route the Hose: Run the exhaust hose from the AC unit out through the front door, as the Avalon tent does not have a dedicated AC port.

4. Seal the Opening: Minimize gaps around the hose using fabric or foam to reduce warm air entering the tent.

5. Power the Unit: Plug in the AC unit using an extension cord through the door or an E port if available.

This setup applies similarly to both the Avalon bell tent and the 10x12 wall tent, assuming neither has a dedicated AC port.

  • Page 6 Step # 3: Setup the Center Pole Center pole is taller than door A-frame, also, it has a D-ring which goes on top part of the pole for hanging lights, lantern or any décor. Assemble the center pole, set it aside. Unzip the door and retrieve the center pole.
  • Page 7 Step # 6: Attach the Guylines Tie the guylines to each cotton loop provided on the weather skirt (at the bottom seam of the tent eave). This only needs to be done the first time you set up your tent as guylines can be packed in with the tent with some inspection as necessary throughout the life of the tent.
  • Page 8 TIP: If the door seems too tight move the two guy ropes either side of the door in towards the middle of the door to relieve some tension. TIP: All the guylines need to follow the lines of seams in the roof. When xing guylines, pay attention to the angle of ropes for optimum grounding and tent setup.
  • Page 9 Step # 9: Rolled up Walls Our bell tents have sewn-in bug screened windows and doors so if it’s a hot day, open up the doors or windows and enjoy the view and cool breeze. The standard bug mesh door will keep the mosquitos and other elements out.
  • Page 10 STORE YOUR CANVAS TENT STEP 1: Clean Out Your Tent Sweep the tent out completely. Remove all of your belongings from the tent and close all of the windows. Once again, allow the tent to dry out completely before storing it. STEP 2: Breakdown Tent When you are sure your tent is COMPLETELY BONE DRY, pull out all the pegs.
  • Page 11 TIPS TO CARE FOR YOUR ALPHA WALL TENT Please follow the tips below on packing up your tent after a fun trip.
