IMPORTANT : If installing SD8 with a multipoint accessory
kit, be sure to follow the cylinder installation procedure
within the multipoint kit instructions.

Assemble the cylinder through the lock so
the cylinder protrudes equally from both sides.
Note: The cylinder cam must rotate as
shown below. (cam turns towards front of door)
Insert the key and turn to locked position.
Insert #10 x 38mm cylinder screw & tighten.
Note: Test - beak should not depress.
Turn key to unlocked position and remove key.

Spindle Selection
Break the spindle pair in two.
Select the correct spindle according to
diagram below:

The sticker on the rear of the lockbody is to
assist in easy installation. - Do not remove.
If the sticker has been broken or removed,
ensure that the rear slide is pushed
completely down before assembling the
lockbody into the door cutout.

Spindle and Slide Assembly
Visually check if the interior furniture plate
(being fixed on the inside of the door), is
marked with an 'R' or 'L', and install the
corresponding 'R' or 'L' spindle. The remaining
spindle can be discarded.
Assemble the spindle, slide and retaining
plate as shown below.

Lockbody installation
Insert the lock body into the door cutout.
Secure the lockbody with two #8 x 13mm
lockbody screws.

Exterior Furniture Preparation
Select the exterior furniture assembly to
be placed on the outside of your door, then
insert the two screw spiggots into the
exterior lever plate.
Install the exterior plug as shown.

Furniture Installation
Place the exterior furniture assembly over the
cylinder and hold it against the door.
Secure both furniture assemblies together
using the two #8 x 32mm furniture assembly
screws.
Note: Ensure the square drives on the lever
and spindle are guided into the lockbody.
Push the two plugs provided into the screw
holes in the interior furniture assembly.
