 Light Source: Your CNIB magnifier has a LED (light emitting diode)
light source – it cannot be replaced.
 NOTE: Do not look directly into the LED light. It is very bright and can
result in eye damage.

Battery Replacement:

It is recommended that Energizer Alkaline batteries be used.
1. Push the grey switch on the handle all the way down (away from the
lens).
2. Gently open the handle cover. It could break if pulled beyond the point
where it no longer opens.
3. Remove the old batteries and replace them with new ones.
4. Dispose of the old batteries properly.
5. Close the handle cover and push the grey switch all the way up
(towards the lens).
6. The magnifier is now ready to use.

On/Off Switch:

 The grey switch on the handle should be pushed towards the lens to
turn the light on, and pushed away from the lens to turn the light off.

Cleaning the lens:

 CNIB recommends cleaning the lens with a soft cloth and gentle lens
cleaning solution.
 You may also dilute soap and water to clean the lens.

Warning:

 Do not leave the magnifier in direct sunlight without a cover. The
sunlight can magnify through the lens and possibly start a fire.
 Never look at the sun through a magnifying lens – this can damage
your eyes.
