- Page 4 Important Safety Precautions 1) Always switch off and unplug the appliance from the main electrical supply BEFORE cleaning and also when the appliance is not in use. 2) NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE, POWER CORD OR PLUG INTO WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS. See section on “Care and Cleaning”.
- Page 5 Precautions when using Jug Kettle 1) Use only cold water when filling. 2) Should you accidentally allow the kettle to operate without water; the boil-dry protection will automatically switch it off. If this should occur, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water and re-boiling.
- Page 6 6. Disconnect the kettle from Mains electricity supply. 7. Do not open the lid whilst pouring as the hot stem or hot water may splash on your hand. 8. If necessary, it will take you 5 minutes to wait for before you press the switch again to re-boil the water.
