    ATP-71 Device Maintenance & Cleaning TD79 The ATP-71 device is designed to be operated under the following conditions: • In an indoor environment • At an altitude up to 6,563 feet (2000 meters) • Using a main power supply; supplying voltage that does not exceed 115 VAC +/- 10%, 60 Hz, <9.0 amperes, with transient overvoltage in accordance with UL Installation Categories (Overvoltage Categories) II.

    ATP-71 Device Maintenance & Cleaning TD79 Caution: Cabinets cannot be stacked. The cabinet should be placed on a sturdy, level surface such as a counter or table, within 10 centimeters (3.9 inches) of the wall. Please allow at least 65 centimeters (25 inches) of space in front of the cabinet so the doors may be opened freely.

    ATP-71 Device Maintenance & Cleaning TD79 Emergency Shutdown Procedure The following emergency shutdown procedure should be performed if there is an emergency or if the machine appears to be operating out of its normal parameters. An abnormal situation might be indicated by smoke, fire, or electrical sparks inside of the machine. To shut down the machine in an emergency, the operator must pull the power cord from the electrical outlet (wall socket) to disable power.

The Mode default setting is online. To go off-line, press this button for more than two seconds. Press again to go online. Used while in standby mode to produce seven empty bags.

Do not open more than one access door at a time, as this may cause the ATP-71 to topple forward.

    Caution: Avoid touching the ATP-71’s heating elements, as they are hot enough to cause burns. Use only packaging paper approved for use by Parata. Failure to use approved paper may result in damage to the ATP-71 device. 1. Open the lower drawer of the ATP-71 cabinet.

See Figure 2-9 for a detailed view of the paper curl protector. Figure 2-9 Paper curl protector 7. Open pinch rollers, and draw at least eight inches (20 centimeters) of packaging paper between the rollers, as shown in Figure 2-10.

    To replace the ribbon, observe the following precautions: • Avoid unnecessary handling of the ribbon. • Always use a replacement ribbon specified by Parata. To replace the ribbon, do the following: 1. Pull the lower drawer of the ATP-71 out from the cabinet.
