    WARNING To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should be ob- served, including the following: READ ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE. DANGER To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken since water is employed in the use of aquarium equipment. For each of the following situations, do not attempt to repair your- self: return the appliance to an authorized service facility for ser- vice or discard the appliance.

Then unplug and examine for the pres- ence of water in the receptacle. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

    OPERATION Auto Priming/Siphon  Press “S” Button once to automatically siphon water through and push the air out of the canister. This will run for 12 seconds  If the water is not pumped through you will need to repeat until water is pumped through.

    OPERATION Adjusting Water Level Adjust the height or angle of the return hose back into your  aquarium to your specific needs. If you have chosen to use the RETURN NOZZLE, you can  turn the nozzle to face upwards for more surface tension or downwards for more movement at the bottom of the aquarium.

    MAINTENANCE Water Changes Regular maintenance is the key to a successful thriving  aquarium. Maintaining an aquarium can be very easy with a regular cleaning schedule. Water changes should be carried out on monthly to bi-  monthly schedule depending on how much bio-load is kept.
  • Page 16 REPLACING THE FINE WHITE FILTER FLOSS A. White Filter Floss should be changed on a monthly basis to remove small trapped debris and free floating particulate matter.
