Charge instruction The battery must be off during charging. Press and hold the on/off button until the light in the battery indicator turns off. Charging should be done under supervision. Charge the battery after riding the bike. It is not recommended to wait until later, as it can reduce battery capacity and lifetime.
Increasing the battery capacity The battery performance depends on various factors that also determine • its capacity. • Fully charge the battery before long trips. • Riding through terrain requires more energy. Frequent change in speed uses more energy. • The more weight on the bike, the more energy is required.
Charging Remove the battery before charging. Begin by turning off the battery using the on/off button. Turn the key to unlock the battery. Pull/tilt the battery free of the frame. See page 24 for further instructions regarding demounting the battery. Place the charger and battery on an even surface.
Battery and charger safety Your eBike is equipped with a lithium battery. Never charge the battery with a non-suitable charger. When using such a charger, the battery may overheat or in worst-case cause fire or explode. If the battery charger is damaged or lost, ask for a new charger from your local dealer.
• Charge the battery at least 2 hours per month. The manufacturer/distributor cannot be held liable unless this is followed, and the warranty does not cover. • Never charge the battery with different chargers. • Prevent liquids or metal objects to enter the charger. Never use the battery charger near oil, dust, dirt or steam.
