Simplicity 2kw Fan Heater – SYHEA2 Set Up Instructions Before you begin Like with any electrical product, please ensure that all components are not damaged before starting. Please do not use this heater with an extension lead. It should be safely plugged in to a standard mains socket. For the most accurate results, we would advise using this product in conjunction with a Simplicity max/min thermometer. The below method requires the heater to be set up when the greenhouse temperature is below your ideal maintained temperature. This will ensure that the thermostat is set at the correct position and reduce the risk of the greenhouse overheating, or not heating at all. How to set up your heater Step 1: With your heater plugged in, turn both of the dials to the maximum settings. The heater should start up and begin producing an even heat. Figure 1 shows that you should begin this process with the greenhouse temperature below your desired temperature, for example, 3C. Figure 2 shows the 2 dials turned up to the maximum settings. Step 2: Allow the heater to continue to run until your thermometer reads your desired temperature for your greenhouse. For example, figure 3 shows that the heater has now raised the temperature to 5C. Figure 3. Step 3. Now the greenhouse is at your desired temperature, slowly turn the thermostat dial (right hand dial) back down until it ‘clicks’. Once this has clicked, let go and your heater is now set at to turn on and off at this temperature. Figure 4 shows the dials now in the set position to keep a greenhouse at around 5C.
