You'll need to update your Wi-Fi network and
password on all wi-fi connected devices. OR, to have
your devices automatically connect, rename your
Wi-Fi network and change the password to what you
previously used. Here's how to do that:
7. In the address bar of an Internet browser, type
http://192.168.0.1 and press enter.
8. On the modem's main screen, enter the Admin
User Name and Admin Password listed on your
modem's sticker. Note: These are different from
the Wi-Fi network name and password you used
to connect to the Wi-Fi. Click Login.
9. At the top of the next screen, click the Wireless
Setup icon. The Basic Settings Screen will appear.
10. Change the SSID Name field to match the Wi-Fi
network name used with your old modem (e.g.
Thompson Family Wi-Fi). Make sure you type the
name EXACTLY THE SAME as it was previously in
order for your other devices to automatically
connect.
11. Next to Security Key Type, choose "Use Custom
Key/Passphrase" and type the password used
with your old modem. Make sure you type the
password EXACTLY THE SAME as it was previously
in order for your other devices to automatically
connect.
12. Click the Apply button. All devices previously
connected to your Wi-Fi network should
automatically connect.
NO TE :
Changing your Wi-Fi network name and
password invalidates the information dis-
played on your modem's sticker.
